This morning, your mom met you in heaven.  We are grieving our loss, but so very grateful we know where you all are and that hopefully one day soon, we will get to see you again.

We miss you and love you!

Korina

Mrs. McCoy was one of the best teachers ever.  It didn't matter if you were the smartest person in the school or if you had to have extra help to learn something. She seemed to always adapt to the needs of the student she was helping.  She was SO patient and SO kind. She loved 10th/11th grade science. She would come sit down next to me everyday for science class and we'd work through it together even if I knew what to do, she'd stay with me. I LOVED spending that time with her. Senior year I needed to take an elective class so I decided on Spanish. Mrs. McCoy was the one who learned right with me. She would take the work home with her and learn a little ahead of me. Then, we'd try to talk to each other in Spanish. She loved her school kids so much. She would do whatever she could for them. I will never forget her smile, her laugh and that grunt she would do. I know if she could see me now she would say something like " *grunts* Korina! You stop being sad about me! I'm in Heaven!! Now go and do your housework and be thankful you are able to get around and do your dishes and make your bed!" I loved that about her. She was always stressing the importance of being thankful for even the "small" things like making a bed.  She has showed me what it is to be a good teacher, mother, wife and friend.

I love you Mrs. McCoy.

Christine was always 'Sharing'

Terry was the harried housewife with 3 kids and Chris was the single... with spendable cash.
I sensed the Terry needed some time away so , I suggested that they take a trip to Florida and Disney World one winter...they left in the middle of the night in a snow storm in her Beetle, with the camping maps and a tent.

Terry reminded me that I had given her $100.00 ,1975 dollars , spending money.

They had a great time doing Florida, and kept in touch, by cell phone -no, by e-mail-no, by calling

once-in-awhile. A great mid-winter break/vacation for the two of them.

Luv-ya Christine

I am flooded with memories of my sister.... When my son Jeff was about 5 years old he decided he wanted to move in with her. She was single and always treated him special....I asked who would take care of him when she was at work and he had an answer(he had thought the process through) Grandma of course. (she lived next door to Aunt Chris) . My , my, I was in a pickle....my 5 year old wanted to move in and had the arrangements all worked out.
That would be fine but he would have to leave his clothes and toys here just in case another little boy would want to come and share our home. The problem was resolved ...But I want to say all my kids loved their Aunt Christine . She was a special lady !

This is not my most favorite memory of Aunt Chris, but one of the many wonderful memories is from when I was about eight years old (circa 1978). Aunt Chris had a beautiful VW Beetle, and agreed to bring me home after an evening meeting at Hart's Hill Baptist Church. Uncle Paul rode shotgun, and I had the whole back seat to myself. So, naturally, the consummate back-seat driver spouted off about the 'correct' way to get home. Aunt Chris eagerly complied to my mis-guided directions, shush-ing her younger brother to silence while en route. In short order, I was completely lost, bewilderedly staring at a dazzling city of lights from a moon-lit hill-top. (it must have been Red Hill Road) Aunt Chris gracious offered something like, "I think I know how to get to your home from here", and in an amazingly short few turns, we pulled into mom's driveway, ready for a celebratory round of ice cream.
